Plain language, no dark patterns.

What we collect

Account email and name, and the profile details you choose to add: city, state, causes, skills and availability. Organisations additionally provide an official email, website, phone and registration number.

Why we collect it

To match volunteers with organisations, to verify that organisations are authentic, and to show you your own contribution history. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Verification data

When an organisation verifies, we store the outcome of each authenticity check — including whether the email domain matched the website — so administrators can audit a listing later. Volunteers never see an organisation's verification trail.

Who can see what

Your profile is visible to you and to platform administrators. When you apply to an organisation, that organisation sees your application and the details you included in it. Organisation listings are public once verified.

Retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard; profile data and applications are removed with it. Verification records for organisations are retained while the listing exists.

Security

Data is stored in a managed Postgres database with row-level security, so a request can only ever read the rows that belong to it. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
